Numerical Reasoning Sample Question
You predict a 25% increase in revenue in the upcoming first quarter of the year, and a 10% increase in revenue for all other three quarters.
Assuming your predictions will be realised, what will be the smallest difference between any two quarters' revenues in the upcoming year?
Quarter | Revenue |
---|---|
Q1, Jan - Mar | 34,844 |
Q2, Apr - Jun | 48,760 |
Q3, Jul - Sep | 62,220 |
Q4, Oct - Dec | 54,020 |
View Answer & Solution
First, calculate the new revenues according to the predictions: •Q1, +25% = 34,844 * 1.25 = 43,555 The question asks for the smallest difference between any two revenues during a quarter. You can roughly tell that the closest revenues are Q2 and Q4. Their difference is: 59,422 - 53,636 = 5,786. The correct answer is '5786'.
•Q2, +10% = 48,760 * 1.10 = 53,636
•Q3, +10% = 62,220 * 1.10 = 68,442
•Q4, +10% = 54,020 * 1.10 = 59,422
EY Pre-Recorded Interview Questions
The questions you will be asked in your EY pre-recorded interview can change according to the position and line of service you applied for. However, in most cases, they will address general information regarding your drives, inspiration within the position, and how you can contribute to the role and the organisation.
These questions can be –
- Why are you interested in the role you applied for?
- What strengths do you have that will help you to be successful in the role?
- How would you stay motivated balancing work and learning at the same time?
- What research have you done to prepare for the role?
- Explain why you have chosen to apply for this location.
Although not an in-person interview, your recruiters will view your recording. As such, you need to address it like a conventional face-to-face interview, dress accordingly, keep eye contact with the camera, and be familiar with the organisation and the role you applied for.
